The Rule Project(s) can be deployed directly from the Rule Studio to the Rule Execution Server.  Mentioned below are the major steps involved in the process:
 

Make sure there is no compilation error in your ILOG JRules Studio.

  1. Select the rule projects , then go to FILE > NEW> OTHER and select ‘RuleApp project’ from the ‘New’ Window and press ‘next’
  2. Give the RuleApp Name and Press ‘Add’ button and add the Rule Set project one by one
  3. Once adding all the projects press finish
  4. Click on the Deploy a RuleApp to a RES link and enter the required information for the RES URL and user access.
  5. Login to the Rule Execution Server console with administrative privileges.  You will notice that the project is published to the Rule Execution Server
  6. Obtain the WSDL file from the ILOG RES console

 

Alternatively, you can also deploy the RuleApp directly to the Rule Execution server. Below are the steps involved for this: 

a). Login to the Rule Execution server using Admin Privileges

b). Go to the Explorer Tab & select “Deploy a RuleApp” link.

c). Select Upload a Rule App and browse to the path of the RuleApp. Click Finish.

Note: The Direct Deployment of a Rule App is only possible for a Rule Execution Server.
