This tutorial describes how to use SOAPUI to create a project to test a webserive. For this tutorial, I have used a sample timeservice which returns the time in PST and GMT.

The steps are documented below:

1).  Install SOAPUI. You can get the SOAPUI installation from here

2). Once SOAPUI in installed, Right click on the interface and select new project. In the window that opens up, enter the name of the project and show the path to the WSDL. To know more about wsdl, read this tutorial

3). The newly created project will auto generate the request xml structure. You can change the endpoint with the valid server details for the webservice.

 

I will post some more tutorials on SOA and webserives in future. This is the area that I am exploring these days.
